Atlanta & Metro Atlanta
Concrete Paving in Atlanta, GA
Durable concrete paving solutions for residential and commercial properties.

What concrete paving involves
Concrete paving is a rigid system. Instead of flexing with the load the way asphalt does, a concrete slab spans it — which is why thickness, reinforcement, subgrade prep, and joint layout matter so much. Get those right and concrete is one of the longest-lasting surfaces you can put down.
We place concrete paving for residential and commercial properties throughout Atlanta and the surrounding metro area: driveways, aprons, dumpster pads, equipment and shop pads, and paved areas that take heavy or concentrated loads.
Benefits
- Very long service life when placed on a properly prepared subgrade
- Handles concentrated and heavy loads better than asphalt
- Light-colored surface that stays cooler in Atlanta summers
- Low routine maintenance compared with asphalt
- Finish options from broom to smooth troweled edges
Typical project process
01
Site visit and measurement
We measure, check the subgrade and drainage, and confirm the thickness and reinforcement the use calls for.
02
Written estimate
A written scope covering slab thickness, reinforcement, jointing, finish, and tie-ins.
03
Demo and subgrade prep
Old surface out, subgrade cut and compacted, stone placed where it is needed for drainage and support.
04
Forming and reinforcement
Forms set to grade so water runs where it should, with rebar or mesh placed to the spec for the job.
05
Pour, finish, and joint
Concrete is placed, screeded, finished, and control joints are cut on a layout that tells the slab where to crack.
06
Cure and walkthrough
We cover curing time, when you can walk and drive on it, and what to avoid during the first weeks.

We provide concrete paving in the City of Atlanta and throughout the surrounding metro area. Georgia's red clay subgrade, heavy summer downpours, and long stretches of direct sun all shape how a surface is built here — which is why we start with drainage and base rather than with the finished surface.
Concrete Paving FAQs
›What is the difference between concrete paving and concrete flatwork?
They overlap. Concrete paving usually means driving and parking surfaces built to carry vehicle loads. Flatwork is the broader term for any flat concrete surface, including sidewalks, patios, and slabs.
›How thick should a concrete driveway be?
Thickness depends on what drives on it and what the subgrade is like. We set the thickness and reinforcement for your specific use after seeing the site, rather than defaulting to one number.
›Why does concrete crack?
Concrete shrinks as it cures, so it will relieve that stress somewhere. Control joints cut at the right spacing give it a planned place to do that. Proper subgrade compaction and reinforcement keep those cracks tight and the slab in plane.
›How long before I can drive on new concrete?
Concrete gains strength over time and needs longer than asphalt before vehicles use it. We give you the specific timeline for your pour at the walkthrough.
